Naming Conventions

Written By Yuri P.

Co-Pilot follows a structured naming convention for campaigns, ad sets, and ads so you can identify and track launches cleanly inside Meta.

Default Naming Structure

  • Campaign: [Product] - [Objective] - [Date]

  • - Ad Set: [Targeting] - [Budget Type] - [Date]

  • - Ad: [Creative Name] - [Offer Name] - [Date]

Customizing Names

You can override the default names at any stage of the Co-Pilot launch flow. Click the name field and type your custom name. Co-Pilot will use your custom name in Meta.

Why Naming Matters

Consistent naming makes it easy to:

  • Find campaigns in Meta Ads Manager

  • - Identify what’s being tested at a glance

  • - Track performance by creative, offer, or targeting β€” without having to click into each ad

FAQ

Can I set my own default naming template?

Not yet. Custom templates are on the roadmap.

Does Co-Pilot change the names after launch?

No. Names are set at launch and cannot be changed retroactively through CopyThief.
