Invite Your Team

CopyThief is built for solo operators first — but if you’re an agency, a 3-person ops team, or a founder running ads with a VA, you’ll want teammates inside. Teams unlock shared Swipes, shared Raven brands, role-based access, and (on Agency plans) White Label.

Create a Team

  1. Go to Team settings

  2. 2. Click Create a Team

  3. 3. Enter a team name (this shows up in shared boards and on White Label exports)

  4. 4. Upload your logo — square format works best, with a background color or transparent PNG

  5. 5. Click Create Team

Your account becomes the team owner. Owner is the only role that can delete the team, transfer admin rights, or change the team name.

Invite a Team Member

  1. Go to Team settings

  2. 2. Click Invite New Team Member

  3. 3. Enter the teammate’s email

  4. 4. (Optional) Add them to specific folders or boards on invite

  5. 5. Click Invite

Your teammate receives an invite email with a magic link. Clicking it either creates a new CopyThief account tied to your team, or migrates their existing personal/trial account into your team. Their saved ads, boards, folders, briefs, comments, and tags migrate into your team workspace when they accept.

Pricing for Additional Team Members

  • Solo: 1 seat included (upgrade to Team or Agency for additional seats)

  • - Team: 3 seats included, $20/mo per extra seat

  • - Agency: 10 seats included, $20/mo per extra seat

Billing for extra seats prorates from the day you add them. Removing a seat refunds the prorated balance to your next invoice.

Remove a Team Member

  1. Go to Team settings

  2. 2. Find the teammate in the member list

  3. 3. Click Remove

  4. 4. Confirm

When you remove a teammate, this revokes their access to team resources. The team keeps all ad saves, boards, folders, and comments contributed by the removed user. The removed user retains a copy of ads and content they personally created.

Delete a Team

  1. Go to Team settings

  2. 2. Click Delete Team at the bottom

  3. 3. Confirm

You cannot delete a team that still has active members. Remove everyone except yourself first. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Roles & Permissions

  • Owner: Can invite, remove, edit billing, launch, delete team

  • - Admin: Can invite, remove, edit billing, launch — cannot delete team

  • - Member: Can launch only

  • - Read-only: No launch, invite, remove, or billing access

Change roles from the Team settings page. Read-only is useful for stakeholders who need to see boards and briefs but shouldn’t be able to launch ads.

FAQ

Can a single user be in multiple teams?

Yes — one CopyThief account can belong to multiple teams. Switch teams via the workspace selector in the top-left.

Does team membership affect my plan limits?

Yes — Raven brand limits and Co-Pilot launch limits are workspace-wide, not per-user.

Can I gate access to specific brands or boards within a team?

Yes — folder-level permissions let you scope what each teammate can see. Useful for agencies separating client work.

What if a teammate quits and I need their data back?

Their personal saves are tied to their account. The team’s saves stay with the team. For special migration, email support@copythief.com.
