LifetimeBudgets

Written By Yuri P.

A Lifetime Budget is a fixed total amount you’re willing to spend over the entire duration of your campaign or ad set. Meta distributes this budget across the campaign’s schedule.

Lifetime Budget vs Daily Budget

  • Daily Budget: Meta spends up to this amount each day. Runs until manually stopped.

  • - Lifetime Budget: you set a total cap for the entire campaign. Requires a start and end date. Meta optimizes spend distribution over the campaign period.

How to Set a Lifetime Budget in Co-Pilot

  1. In the Budget & Schedule step, toggle from Daily to Lifetime

  2. 2. Enter the total amount

  3. 3. Set the start and end dates

  4. 4. Co-Pilot will pass this to Meta on launch

When to Use Lifetime Budgets

Use lifetime budgets for:

  • Time-bound promotions (flash sales, event launches)

  • - Campaigns where you have a fixed total spend cap

  • - Situations where you want Meta to schedule delivery based on day-parting rules

FAQ

Can I switch from lifetime to daily budget after launch?
