LifetimeBudgets
Written By Yuri P.
A Lifetime Budget is a fixed total amount you’re willing to spend over the entire duration of your campaign or ad set. Meta distributes this budget across the campaign’s schedule.
Lifetime Budget vs Daily Budget
Daily Budget: Meta spends up to this amount each day. Runs until manually stopped.
- Lifetime Budget: you set a total cap for the entire campaign. Requires a start and end date. Meta optimizes spend distribution over the campaign period.
How to Set a Lifetime Budget in Co-Pilot
In the Budget & Schedule step, toggle from Daily to Lifetime
2. Enter the total amount
3. Set the start and end dates
4. Co-Pilot will pass this to Meta on launch
When to Use Lifetime Budgets
Use lifetime budgets for:
Time-bound promotions (flash sales, event launches)
- Campaigns where you have a fixed total spend cap
- Situations where you want Meta to schedule delivery based on day-parting rules
FAQ
