Competitor Hooks
Written By Yuri P.
A fresh hook can make or break an ad, so Raven surfaces the hooks your competitors are leaning on hardest — ranked by longevity, which is one of the clearest signals that a hook is actually working.
Where to find hooks
Open any brand on your Watchlist and stay on the Ad Library tab. At the top of the page, alongside Angle Clustering and Landing Pages Distribution, you’ll see the Top Hooks by Longevity widget. This is where Raven highlights the brand’s strongest-performing hooks.
How “longevity” works
Advertisers keep ads with strong hooks running and turn off the ones that don’t land. Raven uses that behavior as a proxy for performance: the longer the ads built on a given hook stay live, the higher that hook ranks. Instead of guessing which opening lines work, you see the ones a competitor has trusted enough to keep spending behind.
When the widget fills in
The Top Hooks by Longevity widget is powered by analysis of a brand’s ads, so it populates once enough of that brand’s ads have been analyzed. If you’ve just added a brand, or a brand was only recently synced, you may see “No hook data yet” with a note that data will appear once enough ads have been analyzed. Give it time as Raven processes the brand’s library and history.
What to look for

Hooks worth adapting (not copying) for your own creative.
FAQ
Why do I see “No hook data yet”? That brand’s hook data hasn’t finished processing. Most brands have it, but a recently added or recently synced brand can take time before enough ads are analyzed. It will appear automatically.
Can I get a deeper hook breakdown? Yes. Save any ad to Swipes and run it through analysis there to get a fuller breakdown beyond what the widget shows.
